Senior Project Engineer – South Florida

Overview

InfraRec is working with a national contractor generating over $1 billion in annual revenue, with approximately 2,200 employees across the country. They are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to support large scale site development and earthmoving projects, based in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day project coordination
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for site development and earthmoving scopes
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Track material quantities, production rates, and project costs
• Coordinate with superintendents and field crews to resolve constructability issues
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination
• Support quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in site development or earthmoving projects, ideally in a project engineering role
• Strong understanding of plan reading, quantity takeoffs, and cost tracking
• Familiarity with scheduling and budgeting on large-scale construction projects
• Ability to work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent field experience

Day-to-Day

The role is based in South Florida, with time split between the office and active job sites. Expect daily coordination with project managers and field staff, ongoing tracking of budgets, schedules, and material quantities, and regular involvement in RFIs, submittals, and documentation. This is a hands-on role supporting the execution of large scale site development and earthmoving projects.

• Base salary up to $125,000
