InfraRec is seeking a Substation Construction Project Manager based in Kansas City, MO. This position will be directly involved in ongoing and upcoming EPC projects across the power and utility sector, with a primary focus on projects for Evergy and Ameren.
• Base salary: $130,000 to $180,000
• Location: Kansas City, MO
• Project type: Substation construction and EPC
• Clients: Predominantly Evergy and Ameren
• Manage substation construction projects from planning through completion
• Coordinate EPC project activities, schedules, budgets, and resources
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and field teams
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule performance
• Review project documentation, contracts, and change orders
• Identify and address project risks, issues, and schedule impacts
• Maintain communication with utility clients and project stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with safety and quality requirements
• Experience managing substation construction projects
• Experience with EPC projects in the power, utility, or energy sector
• Strong understanding of substation construction and field operations
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contractors, and subcontractors
• Experience working with utility clients is preferred
• Experience with Evergy or Ameren projects is beneficial
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Ability to work with both office-based and field teams
• Willingness to support ongoing and upcoming projects in the Kansas City area
• Manage active substation EPC projects and coordinate project teams
• Review schedules, budgets, project progress, and upcoming work
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, field construction, and subcontractors
• Communicate with utility clients regarding project status and requirements
• Address construction issues and coordinate solutions with project teams
• Track project costs, changes, and schedule impacts
• Participate in project meetings and site visits
• Ensure work remains aligned with project specifications, safety requirements, and client expectations
• $130,000 to $180,000 base salary
