Civil Project Manager (Data Center Substation) | Richmond, VA

Overview

InfraRec is hiring a Civil Project Manager for a large-scale data center substation project in Richmond, Virginia. This role manages civil scopes including foundations, drilled shafts, and concrete work. Base salary is up to $140,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Manage civil construction scopes on a large-scale data center substation project from mobilization through closeout
Oversee foundation work, drilled shaft installation, and concrete placement
Track project budgets, schedules, quantities, and production
Prepare and review change orders, pay applications, and subcontractor and vendor invoices
Coordinate with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and clients
Manage drilling and concrete subcontractors, including scope, schedule, and quality
Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, submittals, RFIs, and inspection records
Follow and reinforce site safety requirements

Qualifications

Civil construction experience with foundations, drilled shafts, and concrete
Experience in project management or project engineering on commercial, industrial, or utility projects
Experience on substation, power, or data center projects preferred
Ability to read and work from civil and structural drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs
Working knowledge of project cost tracking, scheduling, and contract administration
Familiarity with concrete testing, inspection, and quality control requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software
Ability to work on site in Richmond, Virginia
Valid driver’s license

Day-to-Day

Review daily reports and field production, and compare progress to schedule and budget
Communicate with superintendents and crews on upcoming drilling, foundation, and concrete work
Walk the site to check progress, quality, and safety
Coordinate concrete pours, drilling operations, and inspections with subcontractors
Process pay applications, change orders, and subcontractor paperwork
Respond to client and engineer questions and resolve issues as they come up
Update project forecasts and report status to company leadership

This role is responsible for managing daily landfill operations, including mass excavation, dirt moving, and the handling of construction debris. The Landfill Operations Manager oversees crews and equipment, keeps the site running safely and efficiently, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.
