Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in Maine. As an Estimator for Transmission and Substation projects to 500kV, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs and providing essential support to our project management and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze project specifications and technical drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for transmission and substation projects up to 500kV
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Utilize cost estimation software and tools to ensure precision and efficiency in estimating processes
Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost proposals and bid packages for submission to clients
Participate in bid review meetings and provide valuable input on cost-related aspects of the projects
Keep abreast of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date and competitive estimating practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Proven experience in cost estimation for transmission and substation projects, preferably up to 500kV
Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
