Overview

InfraRec is recruiting for a Project Manager or Assistant Operations Manager supporting temporary traffic protection for high-voltage utility work. The role will be based in either New Jersey or Pennsylvania, with each position reporting to the Director of Operations.

The company provides temporary traffic protection exclusively for high-voltage utilities and utility contractors, working directly with linemen. The business operates primarily across New Jersey and Pennsylvania and supports approximately 150 flaggers daily in New Jersey and 100 in Pennsylvania.

This position will add management capacity to the operations team and reduce the day-to-day workload of the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations for temporary traffic protection projects serving high-voltage utilities and utility contractors

• Provide management and oversight for field and operations personnel

• Monitor staffing, scheduling, field coverage, and operational performance

• Coordinate with utility contractors, field personnel, and internal operations staff

• Identify operational issues and provide timely solutions

• Help establish and maintain consistent operating procedures across New Jersey and Pennsylvania

• Provide additional management coverage and support as the business continues to grow and restructure

Qualifications

• Approximately five years of relevant professional experience

• College degree preferred

• Experience with temporary traffic protection, traffic control, utility construction, or a closely related field

• Understanding of high-voltage utility work and the operating environment of utility contractors

• Experience managing or coordinating field-based personnel

• Ability to assess operational performance and make practical recommendations

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced operating environment

• Experienced candidates who can contribute immediately are preferred over recent graduates requiring significant training

Day-to-Day

• Review staffing and field coverage for active utility projects

• Coordinate with operations personnel and field staff to address daily requirements

• Monitor project and staffing issues and resolve problems as they arise

• Work with the Director of Operations on personnel performance and organizational needs

• Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement

• Communicate with utility contractors and internal teams regarding operational requirements

• Support scheduling, staffing, and deployment of approximately 150 flaggers in New Jersey or 100 in Pennsylvania

Benefits

• Base salary expected to be approximately $100,000 to $125,000, subject to final internal approval

• Potential short-term and long-term incentive bonus

• Management role with direct exposure to utility and infrastructure operations
