InfraRec is recruiting experienced Supervisors / General Foremen for multiple openings supporting non-energized transmission line projects throughout North Carolina, Texas, and Florida.
This is a Non-Union, open-shop position responsible for leading a crew of approximately 6 to 10 personnel and overseeing safe, efficient execution of transmission line work.
Compensation: $57 to $67 per hour, plus company truck and $150 to $175 per day per diem.
• Lead and supervise a crew of 6 to 10 transmission line personnel
• Direct daily field operations for non-energized transmission line work
• Assign work, coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials
• Conduct daily job briefings, safety meetings, and job hazard assessments
• Ensure work is performed safely and according to project specifications
• Monitor crew productivity, quality, and progress against project schedules
• Coordinate with project management, utility representatives, inspectors, and other contractors
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and staking information
• Oversee proper use of tools, equipment, rigging, and transmission construction equipment
• Enforce company and project safety requirements, including PPE, fall protection, and grounding procedures
• Maintain daily reports, time records, material records, and other required documentation
• Address field issues and coordinate solutions with project management
• Train and provide direction to crew members
• Maintain a professional and productive work environment
• 5+ years of transmission line construction experience
• Previous experience as a General Foreman, Foreman, Lead Lineman, or Transmission Supervisor
• Demonstrated experience leading crews of 6 to 10 personnel
• Strong knowledge of overhead transmission line construction
• Experience with transmission structures, framing, stringing, rigging, conductor installation, and hardware
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and project specifications
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices
• Ability to manage crew productivity and daily work activities
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Previous Non-Union or open-shop construction experience preferred
• Lead the morning crew briefing and review the day's work plan
• Assign personnel to specific tasks and coordinate equipment and materials
• Review job hazards and ensure appropriate safety controls are in place
• Supervise non-energized transmission line construction activities
• Monitor work quality and crew productivity throughout the day
• Coordinate with project management and other field personnel
• Resolve routine field issues and communicate larger issues to management
• Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and safely
• Complete daily reporting and documentation
• Prepare the crew for the following day's work
• $57 to $67 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
