Location: Northern California Salary: Up to $210,000 Base + Fully Funded ESOP (OTE $400,000–$500,000)
We're representing one of the premier EPC contractors in the power delivery industry, seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major Substation and Transmission projects across Northern California.
This is a senior leadership position for someone who can own projects from pursuit through execution, combining strong operational leadership with commercial acumen. You'll be responsible for developing client relationships, overseeing estimating efforts, managing project delivery, and ultimately running your own book of business with full P&L responsibility.
Responsibilities
Lead EPC Substation and Transmission projects from pre-construction through final closeout.
Oversee project estimating, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
Develop accurate estimates and proposals for new opportunities.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with utility and private clients.
Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
Take ownership of an individual operational P&L, driving both profitability and project performance.
Lead project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and support staff.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
10+ years of experience managing EPC Transmission and/or Substation construction projects.
Strong estimating background with the ability to develop and review competitive bids.
