What This Means.
InfraRec is now a Certified B Corporation™. That means we've been independently verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, not just in our own commitments, but through an external assessment of the evidence behind them.
B Corp is not a badge a company can award itself. Certification is issued by B Lab, an independent nonprofit that assesses a company's impact on its workers, customers, community, and the environment, alongside its financial performance. It's part of a global movement of companies working to benefit people and the planet, not only shareholders.
To certify, a company must meet a minimum score across every one of B Lab's impact areas, including governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment. It must also formally amend its governing documents to require decision-makers to weigh the impact of their choices on all stakeholders, not only on profit. That change is legal and structural, not a statement of intent.

Being a Certified B Corporation™ means an independent body, B Lab, has checked our social and environmental practices against a fixed standard, not just taken our word for it. For a company built on trust between clients and candidates, that outside verification matters as much as the certification itself.
Built into how we operate, not bolted on.
Certification required us to formally change our governing documents so decision-makers have to weigh the impact of our choices on our people, our community, and the environment, alongside our commercial results. In practice, that's what sits behind decisions like committing a share of our revenue to conservation charities each year and giving every team member two paid volunteering days.
A standard we keep, not a certificate we file away.
B Corp status isn't permanent. We're reassessed on a recurring cycle and have to show real progress each time, not simply hold our existing score. It's why our work with the Thames and Battersea Zoo is the start of an ongoing programme of conservation partnerships, not a one-off activity we point back to.
Volunteering has been part of how our team works together rather than something we've treated separately from the job.
We've taken part in a beach clean-up on the Thames and spent a day volunteering at Battersea Zoo, giving back to our local communities.
Going forward, every member of our team will participate in regular volunteering days, whether that's an organised InfraRec activity or a cause someone chooses for themselves.
Rather than supporting a different cause each time, we're building long-term relationships with charities working in nature, rainforest, and animal conservation, alongside committing a share of InfraRec's revenue to those partners every year.
That's a deliberate choice: it means our support builds toward something over time, rather than resetting with each new activity, and it gives us a clear focus that connects back to the environmental standards we're now held to as a Certified B Corporation™.
Certified B Corporations are re-assessed against B Lab's standards on a recurring basis, and we're expected to demonstrate continued improvement, not just maintain the status we have now. We'll share updates here as our charity partnerships and volunteering programme develop.
